Body butters are thick, greasy, and sometimes too sticky. Here is a lighter version!
1/4 cup of coconut oil
1 cup of cocoa butter or shea butter
Safflower oil, 1 tsp.
1 tbsp of hemp oil
3 tbsp. of sweet almond oil
1 tbsp of honey
Essential oils of your choice
5-10 drops of Grapefruit seed extract for a natural preservative.
An empty container with lid.
Heat and melt your butter and coconut oil on low to medium in the glass pyrex.
Remove from heat and Let the melted ingredients cool a bit.
Add your sweet almond oil, hemp, honey into the melted butter.
Stir the ingredients and let it stand for 20 minutes.
Mix with an electric mixer to get the whipped cream consistency. Add your essential oils and whip again.
Finally, add the grapefruit seed extract and whip once more.
Spatula the whipped butter into a container. Store in a dark, cool place. This will be good for several weeks!
